<br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE
<br />No. 159, THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE.VILLAGE OF NIAYFIELD,
<br />PERTAINING. TO APARTtiiSENT-HOUSES, BY. AMENDING AND REVISING
<br />SECTIONS 7, 8, 9, 11, 13,, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 20,
<br />THEREOF, AND BY ADDING SECTIONS 13 (a) AND 16 (a),
<br />AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY. ,
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL, OF THE VILZAGE OF HAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY,
<br />OHIO, THAT: -
<br />WHEREAS, Council finds that the present provisions of Ordinance No. 159,
<br />the Zoning Ordinance, are inadequate with respect to Apartment Houses known as
<br />Class U-3 Uses ( as distinguished from multi-story apartment houses, known as
<br />Class U-3 AA uses and already adequately covered by regulations peculiarly
<br />applicable thereto); and
<br />WHEREAS, it is the intent of this Ordinance to establish provisions for
<br />regulating apartment developments so as to obtain clusters or neighborhoods of
<br />apartments by avoiding the interspersing of an isolated apartment building
<br />among one-f amily dwellings or business uses, to improve the design of the
<br />buildings and site plans, and to assure that apartments will be in scale and
<br />proper relationship to the low density and open space pattern of developments
<br />prevailing and planned for the Village; and
<br />WHEREAS, Council finds that it will promote the public health, peace,
<br />safety, comfort, prosperity, convenience and general welfare to amend Ordinance
<br />No. 159 in the manner hereinafter provided and will not substantially injure
<br />any property in the Village or the use thereof; and
<br />WHEREAS, Council finds that this amending ordinance has been submitted
<br />to the Village Planning & Zoning Commission for approval, disapproval, or
<br />suggestion, and that said Commission has allowed a reasonable time for
<br />consideration and report, and has approved the same in the form herein set
<br />forth, and that a public hearing has been had thereon, and notice..of such
<br />hearing given in the manner provided by law.
<br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFiELD,
<br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, STATE OF OHIO, .,THAT: -•
<br />Sec. 1. Section 7 of Ordinance No. 159, the Zoning Ordinance of the
<br />Village of Mayfield, is hereby amended to read as follows:
