<br />AN ORDINa~NCE TO PURCHASE A NEW POLICE AUTOMOBILE
<br />WHEREAS, Humphrey Central Chevrolet, Inc., a responsible bidder, duly
<br />filed its_bid with the Clerk of the Village.of ffiayfield,,Ohio, in accordance
<br />with law, offering to sell to the Village a new 1963 Chevrolet Four-Door
<br />Sedan ,Automobile, with certain equipment, for the sum of TW0 THOUSAND FIVE
<br />HUNDRED FORTY-EIGHT and 30/10® ($2,548.3U) mliLAltS, on which. bid credit
<br />.is to bengiyen to, the Village. in,, the sum of EIGkIT HUNDRED ($800. UO) DOLIaARS
<br />for the sale~bp it to said Humphrey Central Chevrolet, Inc.•of a 1961 __
<br />Plymouth Four-ZSoor Sedan Automobile now in use by the Police Department,
<br />in accordance with the specifications established in connection with
<br />Notice for Bids and in accordance with thebid submitted by said Humphrey Central
<br />Chevrolet, Inc.,; and
<br />WHEREAS, said bid of Humphrey Central Chevrolet, Inc., is the lowest
<br />and best bid submitted.
<br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY TAE COUNCIL OF TAE VIL?~AGE OF MAYFIEI+D,

<br />Sec. 1. ~`he bid of gumphrey Central Chevrolet, Inc. , offering to sell
<br />to the ~1~ge.of Mayfield a new 1963 Chevrolet Four-Door Sedan Automobile,
<br />Model No. 1269, together with. the equipment described.-in its bid submitted in
<br />response to the advertisement for bids, for the sum of Two Thousand Five
<br />Hundred Forty-Eight and 3U/100 ($2,548.30) Dollars, for which the Village
<br />is to receive credit in the sum,., of Eight Hundred ($8U0.00) Dollars for the
<br />sale by the Village to Humphrey Central Chevrolet,.Ine. of t_he 1961 Plymouth
<br />Sedan, Car No. 153, now., in use by the Police Department, be and the .same is
<br />hereby accepted.
<br />Sec. 2. The Mayor and the Clerk of the Village are hereby authorized
<br />and. empowered to_ execute all such documents and to do all things necessary
<br />to obtain title to paid new 1963 Chevrolet automobile, to transfer title to
<br />said 1961 Plymouth automobile now in use by the police Department, and to
<br />do all things necessary to carry out the provisions of this ordinance.
<br />Sec. 3. This ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure, necessary
<br />for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and
<br />welfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, in order to obtain
<br />as soon as economically possible better police protection through more
