Wedler <br />AN ORDINA~vCE TU AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 465, KNOWN <br />AS THE.REGIONAZr D6IELLING HOUSE CODE, BY ADDING <br />PARAGRAPH 1553.04 REt~UIRING GARAGE DOORS ... <br />BE IT OP.DAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF I~SAYFIELD, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA <br />AND.STATE OF OHIO,, THAT:. .._ . <br />Sec. 1. Section l~of Ordinance No. 465, entitled: "An Emergency <br />Ordinance Adopting Part of a Building Code, Known as the Dwelling House <br />Code, and Repealing A11 Ordinances and Parts. of Ordinances as are . <br />Inconsistent Therewith", and known as the Regional Dwelling House Code, <br />is hereby amended by adding paragraph 1553.04, reading as follows; <br />"1553.04. Garage Doors. Open type garages or carports <br />shall not be permitted. .Each garage shall be enclosed on all <br />four sides, and shall have at least one door which can be opened <br />or closed to permit entrance and exit of motor vehicles." <br />Sec. 2. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />ordinance, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, <br />health, saf ety and welf are of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, <br />in order that garages be not built without doors so as to encourage theft, <br />unsanitary conditions, and deprecia~ion of property, and this ordinance <br />shall tape effect and be in force immediately upon the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 19th day of August, 1963. <br />E~ r~ <br />Attest: Mayor - President of Council <br />(SEAL) ~-~" % °Clerk <br />
