ORDINANCE No. 817 <br />By Mr. Belzer <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PUItiCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF <br />A TRAFFIC-CONTROL DEVICE ON A JOINT BASIS WITH THE,_ <br />VILLAGE.OF HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, OHIO,.FOR THE CONTROL OF <br />PEDESTRIAN AND. VEHICULAR. TRAFFIC ON .WILSON MIT,LS ROAD <br />AT_THE NEW HAYFIELD CITY HIGH., SCHOOL; AND DECLARII`7G <br />AN EMERGENCY . . <br />WHEREAS, the Villages of Mayfield, Ohio, and Highland Heights, Ohio, <br />have each agreed to assume equally the cost of the purchase, installation and <br />maintenance of a traff ic-control device on Wilson Mills Road at the new <br />Mayfield City High School. - <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, <br />OHIO, THAT:. - - ~ .. <br />Sec. 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with <br />the Village of Highland Heights, Ohio, for the purchase of a traff ic-control <br />device at Wilson Mills Road at the new Mayf field City High School, said cost <br />of purchase, installation and maintenance to be assumed equally by the <br />Villages of Mayfield and Highland Heights. <br />Sec. 2. The Village of Mayfield, Ohio, shall purchase said traffic- <br />control device and shall charge the Village of Highland Heights, Ohio, one- <br />half of said amount. <br />Sec. 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, safety, health <br />and welfare of the Village of Mayfield, Ohio, and its inhabitants, for the <br />reason that such traffic control device is immediately necessary to protect <br />pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the area of the new Mayfield City High <br />School, which serves both communities, and this ordinance shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 21st day of October, 1963, <br />Attest : ,~ ~~ ~/ ~ <br />Q f~ Mayor - President of Counci <br />( S ) ~-C 1-~rk--' <br />
