ORDINANCE No. 824 <br />By Mr. Mason <br />AN ORDINANCE TO PURCHASE A NEW AUTOMOBILE <br />FROM NEWNIAN MOTORS , ,INC. . - _ <br />WHEREAS, Necantan Motors, Inc., a responsible b-idder, duly filed its <br />bid with the Clerk of the Village of Mayfield, in accordance with law, offering <br />to sell to the Village a neca 1964 Pontiac Catalina 4-Door Sedan to be used <br />for police purposes for the sum of $2,492.31 plus title charges, less an <br />allowance of $1,492.31 for a used 1963 Chevrolet Biscayne 4-Door Sedan <br />now being used by the Village Police Department ,. which said ,Newman Motors,Inc. <br />is to purchase from the Village, making a net cash difference of $1,000.00 . <br />to be paid by the Village, all being in accordance with the specif ications <br />established in connection with the Notice for Bids and in accordance with <br />the bid submitted by said Newman Motors, Inc; and <br />WHEREAS, said bid of Newman Motors, Inc. is the lowest and best bid <br />submitted, <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY OHIO, THAT: _ _ _ - .. .. _ - - -- <br />Sec. 1. The bid of Newman Motors, Inc. offering to sell to the <br />Village of Mayfield a new 1964 Pontiac Catalina 4-Door Sedan, to be used <br />for police purposes, in response to the advertisement for bids, for the total <br />sum of $2,492.31, plus title charges, and offering to purchase from the <br />Village its used 1963 Chevrolet Biscayne 4-Door Sedan automobile for the sum <br />of $1,492.31, leaving a balance of $1,000.00 and title charges to be paid to <br />Newman Motors, Inc., be and the same is hereby accepted. <br />Sec. 2. The Mayor and the Clerk of the Village are hereby authorized <br />and empowered to execute all such documents and do all things necessary to <br />carry out the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />Sec. 3. This Ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure, necessary <br />for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welf are of <br />£he Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants in order to obtain as soon as <br />economically possible better police protection through more efficient equipment <br />and the said ordinance shall go into effect and be in force immediately upon <br />the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 18th day of November, 1963. <br />Attests <br />5 ~i~ ~c~. <br />(~ r ____.~ Clerk <br />~~~~%iY~ v ~ G' E <br />Mayor - President of Council <br />
