Hydrants sh~~.i_7_ be thoroughly cleauc~d <br />of dirt or foreign matter before setting. i?ll_ hydrants must conform tiJ•i.•ch <br />slecifications of L'ivi.sion of ~.a•I.;er and are ;:>t~_bject to its detailed test <br />and inspection. <br />Sec. 10 PLUG(=I11Cs D~a >/T~TU;~: <br />(a) Gisi~~i.1~L: Standard plugs shall- be inserted into 'the bell ends <br />of pipes, tees, crosses and caps jointed 'to spi~;;ot ands of pi~.pes and <br />fittings in the manner specified above and secured w•il;h clamps r~here <br />directed by the :~ngineer. <br />Sec. 11 COl~tid~~C11^.T_C?i\iS ~i'G LA.TS'.l'lItTG i.~f~I~?S: <br />(a) u;~T~I`;?~?L: ':1'herever new mains are to be interconnected with <br />existing mains +~he Contractor shall remove plugs, caps from outlet <br />fittings, or ends o:f existing distribution mains, and vrhere necessary <br />cut out a portion of the existing main f'or such purposes. The Con- <br />tractor shall install all pipe required to complete the con~iection <br />to the nett' main and to restore service in exi sting main. ~;;rere the <br />connect:i_on is to be by means of a nressux•e tap, branc'r> sJ_eo.Te and valve <br />the Contractor shall d.o all necessary excavation and backfi_cl:.r.~; and <br />arrange v;~ith and pay to the 71.vision of :rater o.f the City of C'! eveland <br />for all necessary 1r-wbor and material to make such a connection.
