ORDINANCE No. 827 By Nir. Shaw AN ORDTNANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EMPLOYMENT OF AN ENGINEER FOR THE-VILLAGE.OF 1~IAYFIELD . BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY OHIO, THAT: _ - ... See. 1. Harold P. Peterson is hereby employed and appointed as Engineer for the Village of Nlayfield until December 31st, 1965, such employment, however, to be terminable by either the Village or said Engineer upon 90 days' written notice to the other. Sec. 2. Said Harold P. Peterson shall be compensated as follows, and, the Mayor and the Cleric are hereby authorized to enter into an Agreement in writing with said Harold P. Peterson, if he so requests, whereby he will be paid on the following basis: For Improvements: 8% of the accepted bid, if the Contract cost of the Improvement be less than $25,000.00; 7% of the accepted bid if the Contract cost of the Improvement shall be less than $50,000.00 but more than $25,000.00; 6% of the accepted bid for any Improvement the Contract cost of which is $50,000.00 or more; in all cases the Engineer is to be paid three-fourths of the amount of his compensation upon the awarding of the bid and as soon as funds for said improvement are in the Treasury. For Other Services Village Engineer or Registered Associate $ 10.00 per hour Party Chief, Draftsman or Calculator 6.00 per hour Field Crew, equipment and transportation 20.00 per hour Materials, supplies and services by others At Cost Payment shall be made under the above schedule of rates at the completion of each service and upon billing by the Engineer, setting forth the time, expense, supplies and transportation furnished. The Village Engineer or Registered Associate shall attend regular Council meetings and be paid for 2 hourst time on the basis of the above mentioned rates for such person. The Village Engineer shall not, without assent of Council of this Village, accept any employment from any person, firm or corporation, engaged in the business of establishing allotments or erecting buildings within the Village of ylayf field.
