RESOLUTION NOe 86- 29 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF PUCEL <br />ENTERPRISES IN THE AMOUNT OF THREE <br />THOUSAND FIV E HUNDRED DOLLARS <br />($3,500.00) AS THE HIGHEST AND BEST <br />OFFER FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE VILLAGE <br />FIRE PUMPER, RATIFYING THE ACTION OF <br />COUNCIL IN AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF <br />SAID VEHICLE TO PUCEL ENTERPRISES, <br />REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. In accordance with bids received pursuant to <br />advertisement as required by law, Pucel Enterprises is hereby declared <br />to be the highest and best bidder for the sale of the Village fire <br />pumper in the amount of Three Thousand Five Hundred Dollars <br />(S3P500.00). <br />Section 2. The acceptance of the offer of purchase by <br />Pucel Enterprises herein shall serve as ratification of the action of <br />the Mayor in transferring title of the said fire pumper to Pucel <br />^ Enterprises in order to expedite the sale. The Mayor and Director of <br />Finance are hereby authorized and directed to execute any and all of <br />the documents necessary in order to complete the transfer and sale of <br />the fire pumper in accordance with the bid received. <br />Section 3. Al1 other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />Section 4, That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council anol of its committees, resulting in such <br />f ormal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 5. This Resolut.ion is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of ithe <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for <br />the reason that the action of the Council herein only ratifies the <br />actual transfer of the vehicle which was necessary in order to <br />complete the transaction and maintain the bid from the highest and <br />best bidder. It shall therefore take effect immediately upon passage <br />by the affirmative vote of not less than four (4) members elected to
