RESOLUTION N0. 86- 30 <br />INTRODUCED BYe Mayor Carmen & Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION REPEALING RESOLUTION N0. <br />86-17 AWARDING A CONTRACT TO CLASSIC <br />CHEVROLET AS THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER <br />FOR THE SALE TO THE MUNICIPALITY OF TWO <br />(2) POLICE CARS AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, adopted <br />Resolution No. 86-17 on April 23, 1986, said Resolution accepting the <br />bid of Classic Chevrolet as the lowest and best bidder for the sale to <br />the municipality of two (2) police cars; and <br />WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption of Resolution 1Vo. 86-17 <br />the municipality was advised that the delivery date for the subject <br />automobiles could not be ascertained with specificity and would take, <br />at besto several months; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council, with advice of the Chief of <br />Police, have determined that it is in the best interests of the <br />municipality to cancel the order with Classic Chevrolet and wait for <br />1987 model police carso now, theref ore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THATa <br />Section l. For the reasons set forth in the preamble <br />hereto, Resolution No. 86-17, and the contract authorized therein, is <br />hereby repealed. <br />Section 2 That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 3 This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for <br />the reasons set forth in the preamble hereto. It shall therefore take <br />effect immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote of not less <br />than four (4) members elected to Council and approval by the Mayor or
