RESOLUTION N0. 86-32 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen & Council as a Whole <br />i <br />A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT TO THE LOVE <br />INSURANCE AGENCY FOR PUBLIC OFFICIALS AND <br />EMPLOYEES LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR A ONE (1) YEAR <br />PERIOD COMMENCING JUNE 2, 1986 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO <br />EXCEED FOU R THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED THIRTY DOLLARS <br />($4,130.00), AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND DIRECTOR OF <br />FINANCE TO EXECUTE SUCH CONTRACT AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The Mayor and Director of Finance are hereby <br />authorized and directed to execute a contract with the Love Insurance <br />Agency for public officials and employees liability insurance for the <br />one (1) year period commencing June 2, 1986 in an amount not to exceed <br />Four Thousand One Hundred Thirty Dollars ($4,130.00). Such policy of <br />insurance shall be in accordance with the recommendations for policy <br />coverage as made by the Sutton Insurance Agency, the Village municipal <br />insurance consultant, and said consultant shall confirm, in writing, <br />that the said policy of insurance does conform to the aforesaid <br />recommendations for policy coverage. <br />Secti.on 2. That the Council finds and cletermines that all <br />f ormal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />comPliance with all statuto.ry requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. , <br />Section 3. This Resolution is hereby declarecl to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for <br />the reason that the policy of insurance authorized to be purchased <br />herein is necessary to protect the assets of the municipality from <br />claims for damages.
