RESOLUTION N0. 86- 48 <br />INTRODU?ED BY: Mayor Carmen & Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING tiiARSHALL FORD TO BE THE <br />LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR THE SALE TO THE <br />MUNICIPALITY OF THREE (3) POLICE CRUISERS NOT TO <br />EXCEED THE SUM OF THIRTEEN THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED <br />SEVENTY ONE DOLLARS AND FORTY SEVEN CENTS <br />($13,771.47) PEP. CRUISER, AUTHORIZING THE A4AYOR <br />TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAME, <br />REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERG ENCY. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THATa <br />Section 1. In accordance with bids received pursuant to <br />advertisement as required by law, Marshall Ford is hereby declared to <br />be the lawest and best bidder for the sale to the municipality of <br />three (3) police cruiserse <br />Secti,on 2. The Mayor and Director of Finance are hereby <br />authorized and directed to execute a contract for the purchase of the <br />aforesaid vehicles at a cost not to exceed Thirteen Thousand Seven <br />Hundred Seventy One Dollars and Forty Seven Cents ($13,771.47) per <br />vehicleo provided that such vehicles are in accordance with the <br />specifications upon which the bid was received. <br />Section 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />Section 4. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the ac7option of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />cleliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />f ormal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121022 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, <br />for the reason that the purchase authorized herein is necessary to <br />maintain effective law enforcement.
