RESOLUTION N0. 85-12 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen & Council <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING VALLEY FORD TO BE <br />THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR THE SALE TO <br />THE VILLAGE OF A CAB AND CHASSIS FOR A FIRE <br />TRUCK, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND DIRECTOR OF <br />FINANCE TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH VALLEY <br />FORD AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. In accordance with bids received pursuant to <br />advertisement as required by law, Valley Ford is hereby declared to be <br />the lowest and best bidder for the sale to the municipality of a cab <br />and chassis for a fire truck. <br />Section 2. The Mayor and Director of Finance are hereby <br />authorized and directed to enter into a purchase agreement with Valley <br />Ford in an amount not to exceed Thirty Eight Thousand Eighty Dollars <br />and Ninety Two Cents (538,080.92) for the purchase of the said cab and <br />chassis provided that the same are in conformance with the specifica- <br />tions upon which the bid was received. <br />Section 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />Section 4. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compli- <br />ance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of <br />Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code® <br />Section 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, <br />for the reason that the cab and chassis purchased herein are necessary <br />to provide effective fire fighting service for the residents of the <br />community. It shall therefore take effect immediately upon passage by <br />the affirmative vote of not less than four (4) members elected to <br />Council and approval by the Mayor or o rwise at t earliest time <br />allowed by law. ~ <br />First Reading: <br />4/15/85 <br />Second Reading: Suspended <br />Third Reading: Suspended <br />fr <br />Richard C.
