RESOLUTION N0. 85 19 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen & Council <br />A RESOLUTION REPEALING RESOLUTION <br />N0. 85-9 PERTAINING TO THE PURCHASE <br />OF A POLICE CRUISER; DECLARING <br />MARSHALL MOTORS CO. TO BE THE <br />LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR THE SALE <br />TO THE VILLAGE OF A POLICE CRUISER <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Council has previously enacted Resolution No. <br />85-9, declaring Deacon's Chrysler-Plymouth to be the lowest and best <br />bidder for the sale to the municipality of a police cruiser; and <br />WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption of Resolution No. 85-9 <br />the Mayor and Council were advised that it was too late in the year to <br />order a police cruiser from the Chrysler Corporation; and <br />WHEREAS, because of the foregoing the Council readvertised <br />for bids for the sale to the municipality of a police cruiser; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Marshall Motors Co. is hereby declared to be <br />lowest and best bidder for the sale to the Village of one police <br />cruiser. <br />Section 2. The Mayor and Director of Finance are hereby <br />authorized and directed to enter into a purchase agreement with <br />Marshall Motors Co. in an amount not to exceed the sum of Twelve <br />Thousand Four Hundred Eight Dollars and Twenty Nine Cents ($12,408.29) <br />for the purchase of one police cruiser, provided that said cruiser is <br />in accordance with the specifications upon which the bid was received. <br />Section 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />entirety. <br />Section 4. Resolution No. 85-9 is hereby repealed in its <br />section 5. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compli- <br />ance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of <br />Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 6. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, <br />for the reason that the purchase authorized herein is necessary to <br />
