RESOLUTION ENO. 85- 21 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Fred N. Carmen <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZ ING THE MAYOR <br />AND DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO ENTER <br />INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CUYAHOGA <br />COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES <br />FOR COOPERATION REGARDING CHILD <br />ABUSE AND NEGLECT AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The Mayor and Director of Finance, pursuant to <br />Section 2151.421 of the Ohio Revised Code, are hereby authorized and <br />directed to enter into an agreement entitled "Cuyahoga County Plan of <br />Cooperation Regarding Child Abuse and Neglect", a copy of said agree- <br />ment being attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein <br />as if fully rewritten. <br />Section 2. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compli- <br />ance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of <br />Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, <br />for the reason that the agreement authorized herein is necessary to <br />establish a cooperative plan between the municipality and the County <br />regarding child abuse and neglect as required by the Ohio Revised <br />Code. It shall therefore take effect immediately upon passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than four (4) members elected to Council <br />and approval by the Mayor or otherwise a e earliest time allowed by <br />law. <br />First Reading: <br />5/20/85 <br />r j~ <br />~,. <br />~~ <br />Richard C.
