s- <br />-3- <br />- f6) Where necessary, the authority granted by the Ohio Revised <br />Code 2151.421 to a peace officer to cause immediate removal <br />of a child shall he exercised by the officer. <br />(7) The Cuyahoga County Department of Human Services, Social <br />Services social worker shall attain emergency custody from <br />the Juvenile Court there wgrranted. - <br />(8) When agreed upon as necessary, the peace officers will meet <br />the social marker at the child (ren) 's residence to effect <br />removal of the dtild when parent(s) refuses to relinquish an <br />endangered child for whom the agency holds emergency custody. <br />NON-EMERGENCY SITUATIONS <br />(1) Cases of suspected child abuse artci/or neglect not considered <br />to be an emergency shall he reported by telephone to the <br />Intake Department of Cuyahoga County t~partment of Human <br />Services, Social Services at 241-5050 and followed by a <br />written report of the officers submitted to Cuyahoga County <br />Department of Human Services, Social Services, 2925 Euclid, <br />Cleveland, Chio. <br />(2) Cuyahoga County Department of Human Services, Social Services <br />shall oomnence its investigation of anon-emergency referral <br />within twenty-four Fours and shall provide ar make available <br />to the family any service(s) needed bo ameliorate conditions <br />which may be resultiing in neglect and/or ahuse of the <br />child(ren). <br />
