RESOLUTION N0. 85- 37 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE NECESSITY OF RENEWING BY LEVY A TAX IN EXCESS OF THE 10-MILL LIMITATION AND SUBMITTING THE SAME TO THE ELECTORATE OF HAYFIELD V ILLAGE, OHIO WHEREAS, the Council of Mayfield. Village, Ohio, met in regular session on the, 17th day of June_ _ __ __, 1985 in the Council Chambers at the Village Hall with the following members present : Rochelle M. Bloom Lawrence J. Flynn Santo Basile George F. Goley Richard C. Etzler WHEREAS, the Council did that the amount of taxes which may limitation will be insufficient to necessary requirements of Mayfield determine at the aforesaid meeting be raised within the 10-mill provide an adequate amount for the Village, Ohio; and WHEREAS, that the Council deemed it to be in the best interests of the municipality to renew the levy of a tax of 2.3 mills for an additional period of five (5) years for the payment of current expenses; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, TWO-THIRDS (2/3) OF ALL MEMBERS ELECTED THERETO CONCURRING, THAT: Section 1. It is necessary to levy a renewal of 2.3 mills in excess of the 10-mill limitation for the benefit of Mayfield Village for the purpose of paying current expenses at a rate not to exceed 2.3 mills for each $1.00 of valuation, which amounts to Twenty Three Cents (5.23) for each One Hundred Dollars (5100.00) of valuation for a period of five (5) years beginning with the tax duplicate year 1985, which levy is a renewal of an existing levy of 2.3 mills. Section 2. The question of renewing the existing levy shall be submitted to the electors of Mayfield Village, Ohio at the general election to be held at the usual voting places within said municipality on the 5th day of November, 1985. Section 3. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to certify a copy of this Resolution to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections immediately upon its passage, as provided by law, and to notify the Board of Elections to cause notice of said election on the question of levying said tax to be given as required by law. Section 4,. That the Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compli-
