RESOLUTION N0. 85- 45 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen & Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO GOVERNOR RICHARD F. <br />CELESTE AND THE OHIO ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY <br />FOR APPROVING CONSTRUCTION OF THE HEIGHTS/HILLTOP <br />INTERCEPTOR SEWER. <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village, as well as other municipalities <br />within the Hillcrest area, have long awaited the construction of the <br />Heights/Hilltop Interceptor in order to expedite the orderly <br />development 'of the municipality; and <br />WHEREAS, the construction of the Heights/Hilltop Interceptor <br />Sewer has been long promised, of ten delayed, and, recently, threatened <br />with removal or reduction in priority ranking on the State's <br />construction project list; and <br />WHEREAS, Governor Richard F. Celeste and the Ohio <br />Environmental Protection Agency have recently approved construction of <br />the Heights/Hilltop Interceptor; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio, on their own behalf and on behalf of all the residents of <br />Mayfield Village, do hereby extend their appreciation and thanks to <br />Governor Richard F. Celeste and to the Ohio Environmental Protection <br />Agency for their joint approval of the Heights/Hilltop Interceptor <br />sewer line construction project. <br />Section 2g The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and <br />directed to forward a duplicate copy of this Resolution to Governor <br />Richard F. Celeste and to the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency. <br />Section 3. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 4.
