,: <br />RESOL~JTION N0. 85-46 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen & Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT TO <br />NEAT-LINE CO., INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />SEVEN THOUSAND FORTY THREE DOLLARS AND <br />ELEVEN CENTS ($7,043.11) AS LOWEST AND <br />BEST BIDDER FOR THE RESTRIPING OF <br />DESIGNATED STREETS IN THE MUNICIPALITY <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. In accordance with bids received pursuant to <br />advertisement. as required by law, Neat-Line Co., Inc.. is hereby <br />declared to be the lowest and best bidder for the restriping of <br />designated streets in the municipality. <br />Section 2. The Mayor and Director of Finance are hereby <br />authorized and directed to execute a contract with Neat-Line Co., Inc. <br />for the restriping, of designated streets within the municipality in <br />accordance with the bid received in an amount not to exceed Seven <br />Thousand Forty Three Dollars and Eleven Cents (57,043.11). Said <br />contract shall be in a form approved by the Director of Law. <br />Section 3. The bid of Neat-Line 60., Inc. was the only <br />bid received pursuant to advertisement and, accordingly, no rejection <br />of other bids is necessary. <br />Section 4. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of .the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 5. This Resolution is hereby. declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for <br />the reason that the contract awarded herein will enhance the safety of <br />both pedestrian and vehicular traffic within the municipality. It <br />shall theref ore take effect immediately upon passage by the affirma- <br />tive vote of not less than four (4) members elected to Council and <br />approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time allowed by <br />
