RESOLUTION N0. 84- 9 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Councilman George Goley <br />A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND <br />ENDORSING THE EXISTENCE AND STATED <br />PU RPOSES OF THE MAYFIELD AREA <br />CHAMBER OF CONiMERCE. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayfield Area Chamber of Commerce was formed as <br />a non-profit organization to promote and guarantee the progress of <br />Mayfield Heights, Mayfield Village, Gates Mills, Highland Heights, and <br />Lyndhurst; and <br />WHEREP,S, the Mayfield Area Chamber of Commerce has been and <br />continues to be a viable organization fostering positive programs <br />between the various area governments, consumers and the business com- <br />munity; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village have <br />determined that a strong and viable Mayfield Area Chamber of Commerce <br />is in the best interests of Mayfield Village and its residents; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF NIAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village do <br />hereby formally recognize and endorse the existence and stated <br />purposes of the Mayfield Area Chamber of Commerce. <br />Section 2 The Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village do <br />further urge the other member communities of the Mayfield Area Chamber <br />of Commerce to take similar action in recognizing this valuable area <br />asset. <br />Section 3 The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and <br />directed to send duplicate copies of this Resolution to the Clerks of <br />Council of Mayfield Heights, Gates Mills, Highland I3eights and <br />Lyncihurst. <br />Section 4. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />f ormal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compli- <br />ance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of <br />Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
