RESOLUTION N0. 88- 2 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING NORTHEASTERN REFRIGERATION <br />? CORPORATION TO BE THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR <br />THE INSTALLATION OF AN HVAC SYSTEM FOR THE <br />MAYFIELD VILLAGE SENIOR CENTER AND COMMUNITY ROOM, <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO <br />EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID BIDDER, REJECTING ALL <br />OTHER BIDS RECEIVED AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD V ILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. In accordance with bids received pursuant to <br />advertisement as required by law, Northeastern Refrigeration <br />Corporation is hereby declared to be the lowest and best bidder for <br />the installation of a HVAC System in the Mayfield Village Senior <br />Center and Community Room. <br />Section 2. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby <br />authorized and directed to execute a contract with said bidder in an <br />amount not to exceed Thirty Four Thousand Three Hundred Eighty Dollars <br />($34,380.00) provided that the same is in accordance with the <br />specifications upon which the bid was received. <br />Section 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />Section 4. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for <br />the reason that the purchase authocized herein is necessary to make <br />required improvements in the Mayfield Village Senior Center and <br />Community Room.
