RESOLUTION N0. 88-4 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING PERRAM ELECTRIC, INC. <br />TO BE THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR THE <br />f INSTALLATION OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT THE INTER- <br />SECTION OF BETA DRIVE AND SOM CENTER ROAD, <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO <br />EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID BIDDER, REJECTING ALL <br />OTAER BIDS RECE N ED AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. In accordance with bids received pursuant to <br />advertisement as xequired by law, Perram Electric, Inc. is hereby <br />declared to be the lowest and best bidder for the installation of a <br />traffic signal at the intersection of Beta Drive and SOM Center Road <br />within the municipality. <br />Section 2. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby <br />authorized and directed to execute a contract with Perram Electric, <br />Inc, in an amount not to exceed Seventeen Thousand Eight Hundred Three <br />Dollars and Twenty Cents ($17,803.20) provided that said contract is <br />in accordance with the specifications upon which the bid was received. <br />Section 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />Section 4. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for <br />the reason that the action taken herein is necessary to maintain <br />effective traffic control.
