? <br />, <br />, <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-20 <br />INTRODUCED BY: MAYOR CARMEN AND THE ENTIRE COUNCIL <br />AN ffiMffiZGSNCY RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ATENID THS AGREffiIENT <br />WITH THE BOARD OF COUNTY C02AffSSIONERS <br />TO ALI.OW FOR AN SXTSNSION OF TIMIS TO APPLY <br />FOR REItSURSSFffiN'P FOR SNHANCED 9-1-1 <br />WHERREAS, Mayfield Village entered into an Agreement with the Cuyahoga <br />County Board of Commissioners in 1986, under which the County was to reimburse <br />part of the costs incurred by the Village in procuring the Enhanced 9-1-1 <br />equipment; and <br />WHLRBAS, said financial assistance contract with the Board expired May 2, <br />1988; and <br />6HERFAS, the Enhanced 9-1-1 equipment will not be operational until the <br />Agreement is finalized for the lease-purchase of such equipment; <br />NOW, THLREFORE, SS IT RESOLVSD by the Council of Mayfield Village, State <br />of Ohio, that: <br />SECTION 1: The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized and <br />directed to execute the attached amendment to the contract between the <br />Cuyahoga County Board o£ Commissioners and Mayfield Village which allows <br />Mayfield Village to extend the time to apply for reimbursement for costs <br />incurred in obtaining the Enhanced 9-1-1 system, until March 31, 1989. <br />SECTION 2: The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to <br />send a certified copy of this Resolution along with the Agreement, after <br />execution by the Mayor and President of Council, to the appropriate County <br />Officials. <br />SSCTION 3: The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and o£ <br />its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements, including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SHCTION 4: This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and welfare <br />of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that such a system <br />would assist the safety forces in providing emergency service to the citizens <br />and transients of Mayfield Village. It shall, therefore, take effect
