RESOLUTION N0. 88- 22 INTRODUCED BY: MAYOR CARMEN AND THE ENTIRE COUNCIL AN SN1S[ZGSNCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CHIffi+ OF POLICE AND LAW DIRECTOR TO ANISND THE AGRMMT OF THB CUYAHOGA COUNTY PLAN OF COOPERATION REGARDIldG CHILD ABUSE ANID NSGLECT WHERRAS, the Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, have previously adopted legislation authorizing the Chief of Police and Law Director to execute the Cuyahoga County Plan and Cooperation regarding child abuse and neglect; and WHSREAS, since the aforementioned Plan was executed by Mayfield Village, the Ohio General Assembly revised Section 2151.421 of the Ohio Revised Code requiring that certain statutory changes be made to the Plan; and WHS,RBAS, the Mayor and Council are desirous of maintaining participation in the aforementioned Plan. NOW, THSRRBFORE, BE IT RESOLVSD by the Council of Mayfield Village, County of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio, that: SECTION 1: The Chief of Police and Law Director are hereby authorized and directed to execute the amendment to the Cuyahoga County Plan and Cooperation regarding child abuse and neglect, a copy of which is attached hereto and marked as "Exhibit A." SECTION 2: The Council £inds and determines that all £ormal actions of the Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations o£ this Council and of its Committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. SECTION 3: This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for the reason that the action taken herein is necessary to maintain e£fective cooperation with the County regaxding child
