<br />RESOLUTION N0. 88- 22 <br />INTRODUCED BY: MAYOR CARMEN AND THE ENTIRE COUNCIL <br />AN SN1S[ZGSNCY RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE <br />CHIffi+ OF POLICE AND LAW DIRECTOR TO <br />ANISND THE AGRMMT OF THB CUYAHOGA COUNTY PLAN <br />OF COOPERATION REGARDIldG CHILD ABUSE ANID NSGLECT <br />WHERRAS, the Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, have previously <br />adopted legislation authorizing the Chief of Police and Law Director to <br />execute the Cuyahoga County Plan and Cooperation regarding child abuse and <br />neglect; and <br />WHSREAS, since the aforementioned Plan was executed by Mayfield Village, <br />the Ohio General Assembly revised Section 2151.421 of the Ohio Revised Code <br />requiring that certain statutory changes be made to the Plan; and <br />WHS,RBAS, the Mayor and Council are desirous of maintaining participation <br />in the aforementioned Plan. <br />NOW, THSRRBFORE, BE IT RESOLVSD by the Council of Mayfield Village, County <br />of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio, that: <br />SECTION 1: The Chief of Police and Law Director are hereby authorized <br />and directed to execute the amendment to the Cuyahoga County Plan and <br />Cooperation regarding child abuse and neglect, a copy of which is attached <br />hereto and marked as "Exhibit A." <br />SECTION 2: The Council £inds and determines that all £ormal actions of <br />the Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations o£ this Council and of <br />its Committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3: This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare of <br />the residents of Mayfield Village for the reason that the action taken herein <br />is necessary to maintain e£fective cooperation with the County regaxding child
