1 <br />` tfa <br />I i <br />i ' <br />RESOLUTION NO. 88-29 <br />INTRODUCED BY: MAYOR CARMEN AND COUNCIL AS A WHOLE <br />A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THB ACTION OF COUNCIL IN <br />AWARDING A CONTRACT TO AMERICAN I3MPIRE SURPLUS <br />LINES INSURANCE COMPANY IN THB AMOUNT OF TWO THOUSAND <br />FIVE HUNDRED TWENTY DOLLARS ($2,520.00) FOR PUBLIC <br />OFFICIALS EXTENDED COVERAGE INSURANCPs FOR THF3 <br />PERIOD JUNE 2, 1988 TO JUNE 2, 1989 AND DSCLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHERfiAS, the Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, <br />authorized the Mayor and Council President to execute a contract <br />with American Empire Surplus Lines Insurance Company in the <br />amount of Two Thousand Five Hundred Twenty Dollars ($2,250.00) <br />for the purchase of Public Officials Extended Coverage Insurance, <br />for the period of June 2, 1988 to June 2, 1989; <br />WHEREAS, the Council authorized the Mayor and Council <br />President to execute the contract, as aforesaid, because the <br />time to exercise such option was about to expire; and <br />J' WHEREAS, the Council is now desirous of ratifying its <br />action in suthorizing the Mayor and Council President to execute <br />the contract, as aforesaid; now, therefore, <br />BE IT R73SOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO THAT: <br />Section 1. The Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio <br />hereby ratifies its action of authorizing the Mayor to execute a <br />contract with the American Empire Surplus Lines Insurance Company <br />in the amount of Two Thousand Five Hundred Twenty Dollars <br />($2,520.00) £or the purchase o£ Public Officials Extended <br />Coverage Insurance, for the period of June 2, 1988 to June 2, <br />1989. Section 2. That the Council finds and determines that <br />all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of <br />this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; <br />and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, <br />resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to <br />the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements <br />including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised <br />Code.
