F1.ynn <br />A RESOLUTION AUTIiORIZING MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO ENTER INTO <br />A CONTRACT WITH THE INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION OF OHIO, BUREAU <br />OF WORKMDN'S COMPENSATION, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village from time to time engages the services of auxiliary <br />policemen who are not, by reason of such service, employees as defined in Division <br />(A)(1) of Section 4123.01 of the Revised Code, and <br />WHEREAS, It is deemed desirable to secure Workmen's Compensation in respect <br />of any auxiliary policeman or other person in the service of this municipality in the <br />event of injury, disease, or death of such person while engaged in activities called <br />for by his position but not such as would entitle such person to compensation as an <br />employee as so defined, subject to the limitations contained in Section 4123.02 of <br />the Revised Code. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, CUYAHOGA <br />COUNTY, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section l. The Finance Director be and he is hereby authorized and directed to <br />execute a contract with the Tndustrial Commission of Ohio, Bureau of Workmen's Com- <br />pensation, to provide for compensation of all auxiliary policemen in accordance with <br />Section 4123.03 of the Revised Code. <br />Section 2. This resolution is deemed to be an emergency measure, necessary for <br />the immediate preservation of the public peace, health,.safety and welfare of Mayfield <br />Village and its inhabitants, in order that this municipality may properly provide <br />for the compensation of auxiliary policemen in the event of injury, disease or death, <br />and this resolution shall be in force and effect immediately upon the date of its <br />adoption. <br />Adoptedo February 16, 1976 <br />Attest: <br />L1,1, :22j?? ?ft (J <br />CLERK OF COIJNCIL <br />Approvede 76 <br />? <br />_?'?- .
