Resolution No. 936 Introduced by: Mr. Barclay A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE NECESSITY OF INIPROVING BEECH HILL ROAD NORTHERLY FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH SENECA DRIVE A DISTANCE OF APPROXIMATELY 685 FEET BY THE PAVING THEREOF, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO, three- fourths of the members elected thereto concurring: Section 1. Determination to Improve. That it is hereby determined to be necessary to improve Beech Hill Road northerly from its intersection with Seneca Drive a distance of approximately 685 feet by the paving thereof, in accordance with the plans and specifications hereafter referred to. Section 2. Approval of Plans and Specifications. That the plans, profiles, specifications and the estimate of cost for said improve- ment heretofore prepared by the engineer and placed on file in the office of the Clerk of this Council be and the same is hereby approved. Section 3. Grade as Per Maps and Profile. That the grade of said street after said improvements has been completed sha11 be as shown on said plans and specifications. Section 4. Levy of Assessments. That the entire cost of said improvement, less 2% thereof and the cost of inter- sections shall be assessed and levied by the following method, to-wit: in proportion to the benefits which may result from the improvement;and shall be paid, when levied, in semi-annual installments, with interest on unpaid installments at the same rate as is carried by the bonds to be issued in anticipation of the collection thereof; pro- vided, however, that the owner of any property assessed may, at his option, pay such assessment in cash within 30 days after passage of the ordinance levying such assessments. Section 5. Issuance of Bonds and Notes. That bonds of Mayfield Village shall be issued in anticipation of the collection of said assessments by installments and in an amount equal thereto, and the notes of said Mayfield Village shall be issued in anticipation of such bonds and of the levy of such assessments. Section 6. Estimated Assessments. That the Village Engineer of said Mayfield Village be and he hereby is authorized and directed to prepare an estimated assessment of the cost of said improvement based on the estimate of the cost heretofore filed in the office of the Clerk of this Council
