Resolution No.938 <br />Introduced by: Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE NECESSITY OF PROVIDING <br />FOR THE PAYMENT OF STREET LIGHTING BY SPECIAL ASSESS- <br />MENT OF PARCELS BENEFITTED AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, three-fourths of the members <br />elected thereto concurring: <br />Section l. It is hereby deemed to be necessary to provide for the payment of <br />electric power for street lighting by special assessment of all parcels benefitted, <br />including tax exempt parcels within this municipality, except the State of Ohio. <br />Section 2. The capital improvements for the installation of street lighting <br />were previously installed and no portion of this special assessment will be used to <br />improve or install additional lighting. <br />Section 3. The Engineer of Mayfield Village be and he is hereby authorized and <br />directed to prepare an estimated assessment of the costs of electric power to provide <br />street lighting and file said estimated costs with the office of the Clerk of this <br />Council, showing thereon the amount of the assessment against each lot or parcel of land <br />to be assessed. Said estimated assessment shall be filed in the office of said Clerk <br />and shall be availab.le for public inspection. <br />Section 4. Upon the filing of said estimated assessment.for street lighting <br />as hereinbefore provided, the Clerk of this Council is authorized and directed to cause <br />notice of the passage of this Resolution and of the filing of said estimated assessment <br />to be served upon the owners of all lots and parcels to be assessed, in the manner <br />provided by law. <br />Section 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, safety, and welfare of <br />this municipality for the reason that the funds are:immediately needed to provide <br />a method of payment for electric power used for street lighting and, therefore, this <br />Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its pasSage. <br />Passed: June 21, 1976 <br />Attest: <br />zz e. a- ? ?_ /_ - ez' ? ? <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL <br />Apprqyed: (o-Al-7(o <br />?1AY8?
