Resolution No. 946 <br />Introduced by : Mr. Bus a <br />A RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT <br />OF BEECH HILL ROAD PZORTHERLY FROM ITS INTERSECTION <br />WITH SENECA DRIVE A DISTANCE APPROXIMATELY 685 FEET <br />BY THE PAVITIG THEREOF, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Director of the Village has previously been authorized to <br />advertise for bids for the improvement of Beech Hill Road northerly from its inter- <br />section with Seneca Drive a distance of approximately 685 feet, and <br />WHEREAS, the Council has reserved the right to reject any and all bids, and <br />certain bids were received in response to such request for bids, and. <br />WHEREAS, the Council has determined that all said bids were excessive, now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE,OHIO, THAT: <br />Section l. Al1 of the bids for the furnishing of labor and materials for the <br />improvement of Beech Hill Road as previously referred to are hereby rejected and the <br />Clerk is hereby directed and instructed to return to the respective bidder bid bonds <br />deposited with the Village. <br />Section 2e The Finance Director is authorized to readvertise for new bids in <br />accordance with plans, specifications, and profiles which will be available to al1 <br />bidders at the office of Mayfield Village. <br />Section 3. Council declares this to be an emergency resolution necessary for <br />the preservation of the public peace, health, and safety, such emergency arising out <br />of the necessity to reject all bids received for the reason that all bids were excessive, <br />and to readvertise for bids,in order to correct a situation now deemed undesirable; <br />wherefore, this resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its pas- <br />sage and approval by the Mayor. <br />Passed: July 19, 1976 <br />Attest: <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL <br />Approved: ?/ / ? / 7? <br />?---? <br />; <br />01 <br />?l?YOI?
