RESOLUTION N0. 88-38 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Caxmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RFSOLUTION <br />AWARDING A CONTRACT TO <br />WASTS MANAGEMEN'P OF Offi0 - WFSTERN RFSSRVg <br />AS LOWSST AND BBST BIDDER FOR RUBBISH REMOVAL IN <br />MAYFIELD VILLAGE, Offi0, REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS <br />AND DECLARING AN ffiffiIGENCY <br />BE IT RFSOLVSD BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIffi,D VILLAGE, Offi0, THAT: <br />SECTION 1: In accordance with bids received, pursuant to advertisement <br />as required by law, Waste Management of Ohio - Western Reserve is hereby <br />declared to be the lowest and best bidder for rubbish removal in Mayfield <br />Village, Ohio. <br />SHCTION 2: The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized <br />and directed to execute a contract with Waste Management of Ohio - Western <br />Reserve for rubbish removal services within the municipality £rom August 1, <br />1988, through July 31, 1991, in the amount of Six Dollars and Five Cents <br />($6.05) per home per month, together with a charge of One Hundred Ninety <br />Dollars ($190.00) per month for rubbish removal at the Village Hall and <br />Service Building, with a ten percent (10%) increase in said prices to take <br />effect per annum on the anniversary date of the Contract. The Contract <br />awarded shall be in a form approved by the Director of Law, in accordance <br />with the speci£ications upon which the bid was received. <br />SECTION 3: All other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />SECTION 4: The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of <br />its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SBCTION 3: This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and wel£are of <br />the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the Contract <br />awarded herein is necessary to maintain effective governmental services.
