Carmen <br />A RFSOLUTION <br />DECLARING AN EDffiiGENCY AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />ACCEPTANCE OF AN INFORMAL BID PROM <br />CORRADETfI LANDSCAPING SNOWPLOWIldG <br />TO PROVIDE SNOWPLOWIING FOR THE <br />ELDSRLY AND DISABLED RFSIDSNTS OF <br />MAYFIII.D VILLAGE, Offi0 <br />WBERREAS, the Municipality initiated a snowplowing program £or the <br />Mayfield Village residents who are elderly and disabled; and <br />WRHRF.aS, for purposes of the snowplowing program for the Mayfield Village <br />residents, the elderly include those persons fifty-five (55) years of age or <br />older; and <br />WHERIIAS, the elderly and disabled can participate in the snowplowing <br />program upon the payment of one-half (1/2) of the cost of the snowplowing <br />by November 15, 1988; and <br />WHSRBAS, Mayfield Village, Ohio, has received an informal bid from <br />Corradetti Landscaping Snowplowing to provide such snowplowing service for <br />the elderly and disabled at a rate of One Hundred Ten Dollars ($110.00) per <br />drive with an additional assessment of Twenty Dollars ($20.00) for those <br />residents with two (2) drives or U-shaped drives; and <br />WHSREAS, the Mayor and Council further feel that there is an immediate <br />need for the health, safety and welfare of the elderly and disabled residents <br />to maintain their drives free and clear of snow; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized <br />to enter into an agreement with Corradetti Landscaping Snowplowing for snow- <br />plowing service for the elderly and disabled in the amount of One Hundred Ten <br />Dollars ($110.00) per drive with an additional assessment of Twenty Dollars <br />($20.00) for those residents with two (2) drives or U-shaped drives, in <br />accordance with the informal bid submitted by said Company, and without <br />advertising further for competition bids. The Council finds and determines <br />that said service is of an emergency nature requiring immediate service from <br />such Company.
