RESOLUTION No. 617 By Mr, Shaw A RESOLUTION OBJECTING TO THE ISSUANCE OF A D-2-1 LIQUOR-PERMIT TO ALBERTINA.DI FRANCO AT 839 SOM CENTER RQAD, HAYFIELD. VIL7~AGE, . CUYAIIOGA COUNTY, OIi2O. . WHEREAS, the Clerk of the Village of Mayfield has received a Notice dated September 2, 1964, from the Director of the Department of Liquor Control of the State o~ Ohio of the f iling_of Application No. I-56545-44, by ,Albertina Di Franco for a D-2-1 Liquor Permit for use at 839 SOM.Center Road, Village of Mayfield, Cuyahoga County, Ohio; and WHEREAS, this Council is not satisfied as to the reputability of the said Applicant, as it has no knowledge whatsoever regarding her, and she does not reside or do business at 839 SOM Center Road, nor has she any interest in said premises by way of a sale or lease, nor has she any agreement with the owner::~'~thereof, and the owner of said premises is not, in the opinion of Council, a suitable person to operate under a D-2-1 permit; and WHEREAS, this Council finds that said premises are not suitable for the operation of such a permit, because they are only 278 feet from a church and Sunday ;School and only 596 feet from a public school, because of the lack of proper parking facilities for such a business, because the front entrance of the building is directly across the sidewalk over which numerous school children must pass daily, and because in other respects the building is not adequate for such an operationo NOG1 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NIAYFIELD CUYAHOGA COUNTY OHIO, THAT t . ... _ - -- _ .. -. . Sec. 1. Council of the Village of Nayf field, Ohio, hereby objects to the issuance of a D-2-1 Liquor Permit to A,lbertina Di Franco at 839 SO~i Center Road, Village of Mayfield, Ohio, both on the basis of the reputability of the Applicant and the suitability of the location described in the Notice received from the Department of Liquor Control, Sec. 20 The Clerk is hereby directed to send to the Director of the Department of Liquor Control two certified copies of this Resolution, together with a written.-statement, to be signed by the Mayor, of Councilts reasons for objecting to the issuance of said permit, a copy of which statement has been filed with this Council and is hereby approved.
