GILL, AS SPECIAL WUNSffi., IN <br />STATB OF Offi0 V. FRED N. CARPffid, <br />RSPEALING ALL RSSOLUTIONS INCONSISTSNT T?L+WITH <br />AND DECLARING Ald EMERGSNCY <br />BE IT RSSOLIISD BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIffi,D VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1: Section 1 of Resolution No. 88-65 is hereby amended to read <br />as follows: (Deleted material appears like tiri.s and new material appears like <br />THIS.) <br />SECTION 1: Thomas P. Gill is hereby specifically <br />employed as special counsel in the matter of State of <br />Ohio v. Fred N. Carmen, to take any and all actions <br />deemed necessary on behalf of the Mayor in this action, <br />whereas £or such services Thomas P. Gill shall be paid <br />AT AN HOURLY RATE OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) PER <br />HOUR, in the amount not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars <br />($5,000.00). <br />SECTION 2: All prior Resolutions inconsistent with this resolution, in <br />whole or in part, are repealed to the extent necessary to avoid conflict with <br />this resolution. <br />SLCTION 3: The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberation of this Council and of <br />its Committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SSCTION 4: This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and welfare <br />of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that it provides <br />for the administration of the Law Department, a function mandated by Charter. <br />'•?
