01/19/89 <br />RESOLUTION N0. 89-3 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and the Entire Council <br />A RFSOLUTION <br />DECLARING MARSHALL FORD TO BE TflE <br />IAWEST AND SSST BIDDER FOR THS SALE TO THE <br />MUNICIPALITY OF THEtLS (3) POLICB CARS, <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRFSIDENT OF COUNCII, <br />TO IIdTER INPO A PURCHASE AGRffi4ENT WITH MARSHALL FORD <br />IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO SXCMM FORTY-FOUR THOUSAND THREE HUNDRSD <br />EIGHTY-BIGHT DOLLARS ($44,388.00) FOR THS PURCHASE OF <br />THE THREE (3) POLICE CARS, REJSCTIldG ALL OTM BIDS <br />AND DHCLARING AN ffiMERGENCY <br />BB IT RBSOLVIII BY '1'HS COUNCII, OF MAYFIffi,D VILLAGE, Offi0, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. In accordance with bids received pursuant to advertisement as <br />required by law, Marshall Ford is hereby declared to be the lowest and best <br />bidder for the sale to the Municipality of three (3) police cars. <br />SECTION 2. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized and <br />directed to enter into a purchase agreement with Marshall Ford in an amount <br />not to exceed Fourteen Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety-Six Dollars ($14,796.00) <br />per automobile provided that said purchase agreement is in accordance with the <br />specifications upon which the bid was received. <br />SECTION 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption o£ this Resolution have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of <br />its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 0£ the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare of <br />the xesidents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the purchase <br />authorized herein is necessary to maintain effective law enforcement within
