O1/30/89 <br />RESOLUTION N0. 89-6 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and the Entire Council <br />A RESOLUTION <br />DFSIGNATING THE MAYOR OF MAYFIffi.D VII,LAGE, OHIO, <br />AS THE CSRTIFYIlVG REPRESENTATNE TO SUBMIT <br />AN APPLICATION FOR AND CERTIFY COMPLIANCE WITH <br />ISSUE 2 FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS FOR <br />A CAPITAL IIMPROVffiIENT PLAN FOR MAYFISLD VILLAGB, OHIO, <br />AND DECLARING AN HPiiffiiGSNCY <br />WHSRBAS, House Bill 704 (Issue 112) was signed into law on March 29, 1988, <br />enabling the State of Ohio to issue General Obligation Bonds, the proceeds of <br />which are to be used by political subdivisions of the State for cost of recov- <br />ery of up to ninety percent (907) for repairs to existing capital improvements <br />or fi£ty percent (50%) of new capital improvement projects; and <br />WHERF.AS, any political subdivision applying for such Issue 2 Funds must <br />submit with its application a five (5) year Capital Improvement Plan; and <br />Wffi2SAS, application for Issue 2 Funds by the Village must be submitted <br />to the District 1 Public Works Integrating Committee; and <br />WBERF.AS, in addition to submission of Capital Improvement Plan along with <br />the application of such funding, the municipality must also designate a certi- <br />fying representative whose obligation it will be to provide assurance that the <br />requirements of the Issue 2 Program are being met; now, therefore, <br />BS IT RFSOLVSD BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIEI.D VILLAGE, Offi0, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor of Mayfield Village, Ohio, is hereby designated <br />as the Certifying Representative for the Municipality for all purposes in <br />conjunction with the application for Issue 2 funding. <br />SECTION 2. The Mayor/Certifying Representative is hereby authorized and <br />directed to prepare a five (5) year Capital Improvement Plan and to submit the <br />same along with an application Eor Issue 2 Funds to the District 1 Public <br />Works Integrating Committee. <br />SECTION 3. The Mayor/Certifying Representative is further authorized <br />and directed to comply with all rules and regulations in connection with the <br />aforementioned application for Issue 2£unding.
