~,- <br />RESOLUTION No. 680 <br />By Mr. Mason <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARRING THE NECESSITY OF CONSTRUCTING <br />SIDEWALIZ$.ON THE-NORTH SIDE OF RIDGEBURY BOULEVARD <br />BETWEEN CERTAIN TERMINI TN THE VILLAGE OF.M,AYFIELD, <br />RE~LITIRING THAT PROPERTY OTnlNERS CONSTRUCT .THE SAME , <br />AiVD DECLARING .AN II~lERGENCY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUFICIL OF THE VILLAGE OF M,AYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, <br />OHIO, TH,~T: - . _.. .. _ , . , . <br />Sec. 1. It is necessary to construct sidewalks in the Village of <br />Mayfield, Ohio,.in accordance with the plans, specifications and estimate of <br />cost heretofore prepared by the Village Engineer and now on file in the off ice <br />of the Clerk-Treasurer and in the following locations <br />On the North side of Ridgebury Boulevard from Zander <br />Road to the Easterly corporate line of the Village. <br />Sec. 2. The owners of all lots and lands and lands bounding and abutting <br />upon the proposed sidewalks shall construct in accordance with the plans- and <br />specif ications now on file, the portions of such sidewalks abutting on their <br />respective properties within a period of 45 days after the service of notice of <br />passage of this Resolution; and, if such construction shall not be completed <br />within such period of 45 days, then this Council shall have the same done and the entire <br />cost thereof shall be assessed upon the property of each def aulting owner and made <br />a lien thereon, to be collected in the manner provided by law, with penalty and <br />interest as provided by law. <br />Sec. 3. The Clerk-Treasurer is directed 'to cause a written notice of the <br />adoption of this Resolution to be served as required by law. <br />Sec. 4. The plans, specifications and estimates of cost for said con- <br />struction as heretofore filed are hereby approved. <br />Sec. 5. This resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of_the public peace, health, and saf ety, <br />and for the further reason that the immediate construction of such sidewalks is <br />urgently required to permit safe passage by persons using said street and to <br />eliminate existing hazards to pedestrians, and this resolution shall be in force <br />and effect from and after the date of its adoption. <br />Q,dopted this 15th day of tiQugust, 1966. <br />A t: % <br />J Mayor - President of Coun it ~ <br />(Seal) Clerk-Treasurer - <br />
