02/17/89 <br />RESOLIITION N0. 89- 10 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />DBCLARING AN EiERGSNCY APID AUTHORIZING PAYMHN'P <br />TO TBE VALLEY FORD TRUCR SALES INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />rrnaE Taousarm FuTY-zwo noLLaRS ($9,052.00) <br />FOR REPAIRS TO THE 1972 FORD COMPACTOR TRUCR <br />WHEREAS, it became necessary to replace the factory-built engine of a <br />1972 Ford Compactor Truck; <br />WHEREAS, such replacement is only available at a limited number of truck <br />repair shops; <br />WHERBAS, the Service Director received an informal bid from Valley Ford <br />Truck Sales Inc. to replace the £actory built engine; <br />WHEREAS, during such replacement, it was discovered that additional work <br />needed to be performed an the truck; <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village, Ohio, has immediate need for the continuing <br />operation of the 1972 Ford Compactor Truck; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RFSOLVED BY THE COUNCII, OF MAYFIffi,D VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to <br />pay to Valley Ford Truck Sales Inc. the sum of Nine Thousand Fifty-two Dollars <br />($9,052.00) as and £or the services referred to hereinabove. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of <br />its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and welfare <br />of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason set forth in the
