oz/i7/a9 RESOLUTION N0. 89- 13 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and the Entire Council A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THS MAYOR TO ACT AS AGSNT FOR THS MUNICIPALITY TO MAKE APPLICATIOAi TO CUYAHOGA COUNTY, DEPARTMED]T OF CAMHUNITY DEVELOPMSNT, FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE UNDSR THS HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DLVSIAPMEr7T ACT WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant Program, administered by the Cuyahoga County Department of Community Development, has made available £unding for various projects for fiscal year 1989; and WffitEAS, Mayfield Village desires to participate in this Program; and WHSRI?AS, a public hearing was held at 8:00 P.M. on February 13, 1989, to discuss various eligible activities and to hear comments from the public; now, therefore, BB IT RESOLVSD BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIffi,D VILI.AGB, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. Mayfield Village hereby submits application for the Senior Citizen Snow Removal Program, Community Bus and other quali£ied projects, used principally for persons of low and moderate income. The amount of local public funds committed to the Community Development Projects shall be fifty percent (50%) of the total project costs which shall be appropriated from the Village General Fund. SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby directed to apply to the Department of Community Development in order to obtain the funds to complete the afore- described projects. . SECTION 3. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to --? transmit a certified copy of this Resolution with the application and other necessary documents to the Department of Community Development in order to comply with all directives of the Department in order to obtain the funds to complete the aforesaid projects. SECTION 4. The Council £inds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of
