INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRFSIDSNT OF COUNCIL <br />Tp gDITSR IN1'p THE CUYAHOGA MAJOR ffiiIItGSNCY <br />INCIDSNT MANAGEPffid'P SYSTSM AGRE@iLP7T WITH <br />TgS COUN7'Y COAQffSSI0NSR5 <br />AND DSCLAR'ING AN HMHZGffidCY <br />WBXRREAS, Mayfield Village is in receipt of an Agreement from the Board of <br />County Commissioners for participation in the Cuyahoga Major Emergency Inci- <br />dent Management System, and <br />WEUUUAS, this Agreement provides a mechanism for accessing the resources <br />and services of other communities in the County in the event of a major <br />emergency, and <br />WHSREAS, this Agreement assists Mayfield Village in fulfilling its <br />emergency management and emergency operations planning requirements, and <br />. WHEREAS, this Agreement makes County-wide emergency management protocols <br />and guidelines and related training programs available to Mayfield Village's <br />public safety and emergency management personnel at no direct cost to Mayfield <br />Village. <br />B& TT RESOLVED BY THLT COUNCIL OF MAYFIffi.D VIIS,AGE, Offi0, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized to <br />enter into the Cuyahoga Major Emergency Incident Management System Agreement <br />with the Board of County Commissioners. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all £ormal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations o£ this Council and of <br />its committees, resulting in such £ormal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of <br />Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reasons that are stated in the preamble <br />? herein. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the <br />?
