WHEREAS, the CMEIMS COMMUNITI' has determined that it wishes to fulfill its <br />respansibilities under Section 5915.071 of the ?hio Revised Code 6y <br />participating inthe CMEIMS pursuant to Section 307.15 ?f the Ohio Revised <br />Code and t? pravide reciprocal Emergency Management aid and assistance in <br />accordance with Section 5915.09 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />i? <br />MM, 7FEFEFUM, the COUNTY, the CMEIHS COMMUNITY and the CEM BOARD hereto <br />agree as {allows: <br />I <br />i; <br />i; <br />I; <br />ARTICLE I <br />DEFINITIUt15 <br />Wherever used in this Agreement, the following terms have the meanings . <br />indicated which are applicable to both the singular and plural thereof unless <br />such meaning is clearly precluded by the context in which the term is used: <br />1_1 Bylaws. The CEM BOARD's hylaws as estahlished by the COUNTY's <br />Resolution Na. 703319 as amended. <br />?i <br />li <br />;i <br />?i <br />i'• <br />1.2 Capacity. Human and physical resources, service=_, and information. <br />1.3 CEM Hoard. The Cuyahoga Emergency Management Advisory Board which was <br />esta6lished 6y the COUNTY's Resalution No. 703319 as amended to improve <br />Emergency Management Capacity and to make suEh improved Capacity <br />availahle to the Communities through the CMEIMS Agreements. <br />1.4 CEMAC. The Cuyahoga Emergency Manaqem=nt Assi=_tance Center, o-ihich is <br />the COLJNTY's emergency operations center facility and program. <br />?i <br />?I <br />1.5 Chief Executive Officer. The president of the Board of County <br />Commissioners, a mayor, city manager, or a president of a 6oard of <br />township trustees. <br />1.6 CMEIMS. The Cuyahoga Major Emergency Incident Managemant System, the <br />nomenclature applied to the COUNTY's Emergency Management program <br />developed 6y the CEM BOARD. 1.7 CMEIMS Agreement. A written agreement between the COUNTY, the CEM I <br />BOARD, and the CMEIMS COMMIJNITY which provides the CMEIMS'COMMIJNITY <br />with access to the CMEIMS Emergency Management capacity and which <br />fulfills the CMEIMS COMMUNITY's responsibilities as defined in Section <br />5915.071 af the Ohio Revised Cade. <br />1.8 CMEIMS Hasic Principles. A document adopted hy the CEM Board which . <br />defines the hasic roles and responsihilities of the various emergency <br />management entities in the event of a Major Emergency Incident. <br />1.9 CMEIMS Community. A municipal corporation or toamship rihich has <br />entered into a CMEIMS Agreement. <br />Page 2 of 11
