POLICE PERSONNEL FOR THE T,A~i.DUPI,IC,t~i,TE YE,A,RS 1967 TO 1971 BOTH INCLUSIVE .._. _ _ WHEREAS, Section 5705.19 of the Ohio Revised Code aff ords relief by enabling taxing districts to submit a proposal for an additional levy of taxes for payment of salaries of permanent police personnel to the electors at the succeeding November election. NOG7 THEREFORE BE IT P~ESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VTLLAGE OF HAYFIELD, CUYAHOG.A COUNTY, OHIO, T[~70-THIRDS _ OF .AZL IKEtrIBERS ELECTED. THERETO CONCURRING, THAT: Sec. 1. The amount of taxes which may be raised by the levy of taxes within the ten (10) mill limitation authorized by Section 5705.02 of the Ohio Revised Code will;~be insufficient to provide an adequate amount for the payment of salaries of permanent police personnel and it is necessary for the purpose of providing additional funds for payment of salaries of permanent police personnel that taxes be levied on the taxable property in said village for a period of 5 years at a rate in excess of such maximum return authorized by said Section 5705.02 of the Ohio Revised Code. Sec. 2. The question of the renewal of a 1.9 mill levy on each dollar of the tax valuation of the taxable property on the tax duplicate within the Village of I~iayfield, Ohio, which amounts to 19~ on each X100.00 of valuation of said property, for a period of five years, beginning with the tax duplicate year 1967, for payment of salaries of permanent police personnel for the Village of Mayfield under the provisions of Section 5705.19 of the Ohio Revised Code, be submitted to the electors of the Village of Mayfield at the general election to be held on the 7th day of November, 1967, as authorized by law, and said election shall be held at the regular places of voting in said district, as established by the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, between the Hours of 6;30 o`clockt~. bi. and 6;30 o°clock P. M., Eastern Standard Time, and that said election shall be conducted, canvassed and certif ied in the manner provided by law. _ Sec. 3, The Village Cleric-Treasurer be, and he hereby is, directed to give notice of said election as provided by law. Sec. 4. The Village Clerk-Treasurer be, and he hereby is, directed to certify a_ copy of this Resolution to the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
