RESOLUTION N0. `'729 <br />By : Mr . D~V~S <br />.A~RESOI-UTION AUTHORIZING THE SOLICTTOR OF THE VILLAGE OF M1AY- <br />FIELD TO PROCEED WITH THE APPEAL FROI~Z THE ORDER OF THE BOARD <br />OF TAX APPEALS TU THE SUPREt~ZE COURT OF .OHIO ON THE MATTER OF <br />THE ALT.OCATION TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT FUND. <br />WHEREAS, on April 15, 1968, the Board of Tax Appeals of the State of <br />Ohio entered a decision, which, among other things, reduced the allocation <br />previously made by the Cuyahoga County Budget Conmiission to the Village of i~Iay- <br />field, out of local government funds, almost in half; and <br />WHEREAS, any appeal to the Supreme Court of Ohio from said Order had <br />to be made :within thirty (30) days after the date thereof, and Council was not <br />in session at that time; and <br />bril-IEREAS9 under date of April, 30, 1968, five members of Council authorized <br />in writing the Solicitor of th,e Village of Mayfield to institute such appeal <br />proceedings. <br />NOW, THEP.EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF i7AYFIELD, <br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, STATE OF OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The previous action of five members of Council in authorizing <br />the Solicitor of the Village of Mayfield to file an appeal to the Supreme Court <br />of Ohio from the Order of L-he Board of Tax Appeals, reducing the amount of local <br />government funds allocated to this Village, is hereby adopted, ratified and con- <br />firmed, and the Solicitor is hereby directed to continue with said appeal.
