RESOLUTION N0. 745 <br />BY c ~'T_T7-GERALD <br />A RESOLUTION COMMENDING PATROLMAN RONALD PRYGO AND THE POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT OF THE VILLAGE OF MAXFIELD FOR SERVI.CES RENDERED <br />BEXOND THE CALL OF DUTX. <br />WHEREAS, on August 11, 1968, Patrolman Ronald Prygo of the Village of <br />Mayfield Police Department showed extraordinary resourcefulness, ingenuity and <br />courage in persuading the hospital authorities to permit the transfer of Vince <br />J. Busa, Jr., (son of the Mayor of Mayfield) who had been seriously injured in <br />an accident, from the bake County Memoriel Hospital to Huron Road Hospital, at <br />a time when the injured person's parents could not be located, and someone had <br />to take the responsibility, and in seeing to it that he was so transferred, <br />thereby being instrumental in saving the young man's life; and <br />WHEREAS, said service, above and beyond the call of duty, i,s typical <br />of the quality of service rendered by the Police Department of the Village of <br />Mayfield under the direction of Chief William Shortle. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be-it resolved by the Council of the Village of <br />Mayfield, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, that: <br />The said Ronald Prygo and the Police Department of the Village of <br />Mayfield, be, and they hereby are, commended for rendering the above-described <br />service during an emergency, above and .beyond the call of duty. <br />Adopted this 19th. day of .August, 1968. <br />~ ~ <~ <br />.3~s ~a <br />~9, <br />f~~~ rr]] <br />.(i ~,.• ~ .2y~FlSi~ <br />ATTEST: ~-~ MAYOR'= PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />tom" ~ v <br />(SEAL) CLERK-TREA URER <br />
