uiiijiby RESOLUTION N0. 89-40 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF AN INFORMAL BID FROM JONES EQUIPMENT, INC. FOR THE PURCHASE OF A FOX HOPPER SPREADER WfiEREAS, the Fox Hopper Spreader is the only type of spreader designed as to the specifications required by the Service Department; and WHEREAS, said Fox Hopper Spreader is only available from a limited number of suppliers; and WHEREAS, Mayfield Village, Ohio received an informal bid from Jones Equipment, Inc. to provide such equipment for an amount of Four Thousand Nine Hundred Ten Dollars ($4,910.00); and WHEREAS, Mayfield Village, Ohio, has immediate need for the purchase of such equipment for the upcoming season; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, TAAT: SECTION 1. The Mayor and President of Council is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Jones Equipment, Inc. for the purchase of a Fox Hopper Spreader in the amount of Eour Thousand Nine Hundred Ten Dollars ($4,910.00), in accordance with the informal bid submitted by said Company, and without advertising further £or competitive bids. SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. l SECTION 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason set forth in the
