07/14/89 <br />RESOLUTION N0. 89- 43 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />URGING THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO REQUIRE COMPLIANCE WITH <br />OPERATIONAL RULES FOR THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY AIRPORT <br />WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of Council that the County Airport <br />is operating under rules restricting the times when the airport may be used <br />and that the violation of such rules has gone uncorrected; and <br />WHEREAS, the Noise Abatement Council, according to rules, was to meet <br />four times per year but is now meeting only twice yearly to the displeasure of <br />the Mayfield Village citizens; and <br />WHEREAS, such violation o£ rules results in a nuisance to the surrounding <br />property owners; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council strongly object to such rule violations <br />and wish to bring this fact to the attention of the Cuyahoga County Board of <br />Commissioners by formal resolution, now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village, for and on behalf <br />of all the citizens of the Village of Mayfield hereby strongly object to the <br />permitted violations of flight hours at the Cuyahoga County Airport and <br />request the Cuyahoga County Commissioners to make due inquiry into such <br />violations, order corrections of violations and update the existing rules to <br />prohibit such violations in the future. <br />SECTION 2. Council further £inds that objection has been made to the <br />Board of County Commissioners by Councilman Daniel J. Ursu, of Richmond <br />Heights, in a communication to the Airport Manager on March 17, 1989 outlining <br />the specific violations which he personally observed and hereby requests the <br />County Commissioners to respond to any disciplinary action taken as a result <br />of these violations.
