UNIFORM ALLOWANCE AND MAINTENANCE <br />1. Uniform items for Police Department employees shall conform <br />to the specifications required by the Department's Manual of <br />Rules and Regulations, subject to the approval of the Chief of <br />Police. All items purchased by the municipality shall be and <br />remain the property of Mayfield Village, Ohioo <br />2. The municipality shall purchase for each newly employed <br />full-time police officer having arrest powers all items listed <br />on Schedule "A'°, attached hereto. Each newly employed full- <br />time member of the Fire Department shall be reimbursed for the <br />costs of uniforms purchased by that member for use in the <br />member's employment in an amount not exceeding the sum of <br />Four Hundred Fifty Dollars ($450o00). Each newly employed <br />full-time member of the Police Department not having arrest <br />powers shall be reimbursed for the cost of uniforms for use in <br />that member's employment in an amount not to exceed the sum <br />of Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($350o00). There shall be no <br />additional uniform allowance during the first year of employ- <br />ment for any of the above-mentioned employees. <br />3. Commencing with the second year of employment, as defined <br />in subsections D(1) and (2) hereinbelowo and continuing each <br />year thereafter, each full-time employee of the Police <br />Department having arrest powers and all full-time employees <br />of the Fire Department shall receive a unif orm allowance in <br />the amount of Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($350.00) per year and <br />each full-time employee of the Police Department not having <br />arrest powers shall receive a unif orm allowance in the amount <br />of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00). The amounts stated for <br />uniform allowance herein may also be used for uniform <br />maintenance by the employee.
