Only.a detached garage may face the
front street.
Trees
Chapter 1359... Although our tree ordinance covers the required permit for the cutting
of trees, it does not cover the circumstances that require more trees removed than may
appear to be uecessarye For example, it is a common sense rule that any tree within
20' of a building will eventually die due to the heavy excavating equipment damaging
the root systems. Nothing is worst than to have someone move into their new building
and then have some of the trees die off. Trees also interfere with the driveway loca-
tion and the owner may have some definite reasons for its location. A certain amount
of reasonableness must be used in the layout. -
Swimming Pools - Chapter 1341
A safety requirement of a snow fence being placed around the area of construction until
the work has progressive to the point of installing the permanent fence. This is to
protect the inquisitive youngsters after construction hours. One could slide down into
the excavated area which usually contains some twa to three feet of water.
Commercial Trash Enclosure
On a commercial site, if the contractor does not provide a trash container, a ring of
snow fencing must be installed around all empty cement sacks, paper from roofing materials,
plastic from insulation etc. to avoid the debris from blowing all over the area.
Soil Removal
Although the code provides for the soil removed from new subdivisions, it fails to take
into consideration of the soil from an existing site in an approved sectione Soi1 re-
moval becomes a must during the c.ourse of construction. We will not allow any top-soil
to leave the village. Before an attempt is made to carry off all the good soil, we re-
quest that they stock-pile enough to repair the damage and finish the gradinge We also
request that some be given to the village to recover some of that which has been taken in
the past.. This is used within the village by the Service Dept. and the residents.
GVA/djm 4z,
?
CABEABfiO 61•0E397 raIwrao tw U.B.A.
