ORDINANCE N0. 85- 18 Page -2- (f) Subjeet to any requirements imposed by the Internal Revenue Service, the Ohio PERS Board, the Firemen's Pension Func] or the Police Relief Fund, the provisions of this Section shall apply to all payroll payments payable by the Village to said employees from and after the effective date of this Resolution provic7ed that the same shall be eff eetive only so long as they are approved by the saic7 retirement boards or their agents. Section 2. All prior ordinances inconsistent with this ordinance in whole or in part are repealed to the extent necessary to avoid contlict with this ordinance. Section 3. That the Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committ_ees, resulting in such f ormal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. Secta.on 4. This Orclinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for the reason that the policy enactecl herein is necessary to provide adequate compensation for municipal employees thereby insuring the continuation of effective governmental services. It shall therefore take effect immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote of not less than four (4) members elected to Council anc3 approval by the 1Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time a ed by law.
