10/13/89 <br />RESOLUTION N0. 89-70 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen & Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />DECLARING HOLCOMB'S TO BE <br />THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR THE <br />DESKTOP PUBLISHING COMPUTER EQUIPMENT, <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH SAID BIDDER <br />IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SEVEN THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED <br />SIXTY-EIGHT DOLLARS AND SIXTY CENTS ($7,668.60) AND <br />DECLARING MI EMII2GENCY. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. In accordance with bids received, pursuant to advertisement <br />as required by law, Holcomb's is hereby declared to be the lowest and best <br />bidder for the desktop publishing computer equipment. <br />SECTION 2. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized <br />and directed to enter into a contract with Holcomb's, in an amount not to <br />exceed Seven Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-Eight Dollars and Sixty Cents <br />($7,668.60) for the aforesaid project provided that said contract is in accor- <br />dance with the specifications upon which the bid was received. <br />SECTION 3. Council hereby declares that Holcomb's was the only bidder <br />and, therefore, no other bids need be rejected. <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of <br />its convnittees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Sectian 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Cade. <br />SECTION 5: This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare <br />of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the contract <br />authorized herein is necessary to maintain efficient governmental services. It <br />shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the affirmative
