10/13/89 RESOLUTION N0. 89-70 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen & Council as a Whole A RESOLUTION DECLARING HOLCOMB'S TO BE THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR THE DESKTOP PUBLISHING COMPUTER EQUIPMENT, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH SAID BIDDER IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SEVEN THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED SIXTY-EIGHT DOLLARS AND SIXTY CENTS ($7,668.60) AND DECLARING MI EMII2GENCY. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. In accordance with bids received, pursuant to advertisement as required by law, Holcomb's is hereby declared to be the lowest and best bidder for the desktop publishing computer equipment. SECTION 2. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Holcomb's, in an amount not to exceed Seven Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-Eight Dollars and Sixty Cents ($7,668.60) for the aforesaid project provided that said contract is in accor- dance with the specifications upon which the bid was received. SECTION 3. Council hereby declares that Holcomb's was the only bidder and, therefore, no other bids need be rejected. SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its convnittees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Sectian 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Cade. SECTION 5: This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the contract authorized herein is necessary to maintain efficient governmental services. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the affirmative
