ii/2o/a9 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION N0. 89- 79 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />SUPPLEMENTING A CONTRACT TO <br />RADIO COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALISTS FOR THE <br />PURCHASE OF TEN (10) MOTOROLA POLICE RADIOS <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the Council of Mayfield Village of Ohio has previously adopted <br />Resolution No. 89-53 awarding a contract to Radio Communications Specialists <br />for the purchase of ten (10) Motorola Police Radios; and - <br />WHEREAS, the aforesaid contract was in a sum not to exceed Six Thousand <br />Six Hundred Fifty Dollars ($6,650.00); and <br />WHEREAS, the Municipality has been advised by the Police Chief that the <br />specifications on which the original contract was based did not include <br />certain equipment necessary for the efficient operation of the Police Radios; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have determined that on order to provide <br />for more e£fective services to the residents and transients of Mayfield <br />Village, such equipment should be included in the contract; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The contract awarded to Radio Communications Specialists for <br />the ten (10) Motorola Police Radios is hereby extended by adding additional <br />equipment to the contract authorized pursuant to Resolution No. 89-53 for the <br />total amount of Six Thousand Eight Hundred Thirteen Dollars ($6,813.00). <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of <br />this Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at <br />open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and o£ <br />its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open <br />to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />iaunediately necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and welfare <br />of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reasons set forth in the
