CRDINANCE N0. 86-13 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen ~x Council as a Whole AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1(D) OF ORDINANCE N0. 85-27 BY ENACTING NEW SUBSECTION (D)(13) PERTAINING TO CALCULATIONS FOR VACATION TIME FOR FIREFIGHTERS, MAKING THE-SAME RETROACTIVE TO JANUARY 1, 1986,`REPEALING ALL OTHER ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY TH`E COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD V ILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: Section 1. Section 1(D) of Ordinance No. 85-27 is hereby amended by enacting new subsection (D)(13) to read as~follows: Section 1. Effective January 1, 1986, the wages, benefits and other terms and conditions of employment for employees of Mayfield Village, Ohio, shall be as follows: * ~ (D) Vacation Schedule. * * ~ (13) For purposes of this Section in computing a day for members'of the Fire Department one day shall be equivalent to six (6) hours. For the .purpose of providing an example only, a member of the Fire Department with five (5) years of service shall be entitled, pursuant to this Ordinance, to vacation time in the amount of two (2) weeks plus one (1) day, which shall be computed in accordance with this subsection as five (5) tours of duty plus six (6) hours. An employee in the Fire Department with six (6) years of service is entitled to vacation time of two (2) weeks plus two (2) days, which shall be computed as five (5) tours of duty plus twelve (12) hours. Section 2. The subsection enacted .herein is retroactive to January 1, 1986. Section 3. All prior ordinances inconsistent with this ordinance in whole or in part are hereby repealed to the extent necessary to avoid conflict with this ordinance. Section 4. That the Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in
